The Open Source Movement: Our View

Open Source is the total collaborative struggle of the world's peoples to bridge the capital divide between
developed and underdeveloped nations.
The Linux is developed under the GPL a collectivised People's license, thus the western notion of property
rights(copyrights protection)does not apply. There is a movement by reactionary forces in the US courts
to limit those rights.

Professor Molen,general council to the Free Software Foundation commenting on SCO vs Novell stated ;
"Many of the large, sophisticated enterprises who are targets of SCO's efforts responded to their claims by
taking copies the Linux programme, under GPL, from SCO's own FTP where the code remained publicly
available. They therefore have an auditable license from SCO to use copy ,modify and redistribute the code
about which SCO continues to threaten legal action" .
SCO Group a small-time software business led by a former sheep rancher is spearheading a campaign of
legal terror to destroy Linux development.
The lawsuit is set in the far west state of Utah (a state ruled by racist Mormons) before a reactionary judge.
SCO vs IBM will in the end be decided on fact and law and not some pipe-dream from Young.

A legion of economic opportunists made-up of Redhat and Linspire (formerly know as Lindows) under the
guise of free software have commandeered the movement. These nihilists would turn the TCO (Total Cost
of Ownership)model upside down and the end result is a nefarious scheme to make Linux into a
proprietary products like Windows. However, global economic conditions will condemn this model to the
trash can of history.
